How it is made

A five-stage sulphuric-acid route at our own plant. Metal impurities are removed chemically before crystallization, which is what lets one line serve both agricultural and higher-purity grades.

Acid leaching

Zinc-bearing raw material is fed into dilute sulphuric acid under agitation to make a zinc sulphate solution.

Filtration

A filter press removes insoluble residue. Most lead stays in this cake, which goes for authorised disposal.

Purification

Hydrogen peroxide drops out iron; zinc dust cements out cadmium and copper. Both are filtered off.

Crystallization

The clean liquor is concentrated and cooled under stirring to grow zinc sulphate crystals.

Drying and packing

Crystals are centrifuged, dried to the monohydrate, granulated or screened, and packed by grade.

Every batch is tested, numbered and documented, and the paperwork travels with the material.

Batch testing

Zinc content, assay, pH, water-insolubles and heavy metals are checked on every batch before release.

Certificate of analysis

Each dispatch carries a batch-specific COA. TDS and SDS are available for every product.

Raw-material traceability

Finished-goods COAs are filed with the raw-material COAs, so heavy-metal provenance can be shown to any buyer.

Samples first

Pre-shipment samples for buyer qualification before the first commercial order.

Plant visits and audits

Buyers and their inspectors are welcome to audit the process, laboratory and packing line.

Clean process

Impurities are removed chemically before crystallization, not blended down afterwards.
